Amy holds degrees in Communicative Disorders, Psychology, and Computer Science, but retired a few years ago from a software career to focus on her other passions, which include volunteering with and serving on the boards of several non-profits including IRC, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Clubs, KRCL, League of Women Voters and Wasatch Community Gardens. She and husband Glenn were also the PE teachers for their children’s classes for 7 years.
Her friends and family accuse her of having a “feeding disorder” since she is continually growing and cooking food, which she then forces on others. She thinks she would have made a good depression-era housewife being obsessed with “waste not, want not”, so her involvement with this organization was an obvious match. She also fills her time with biking, skiing, hiking, traveling, DIY remodeling and hosting dinner parties.
