CEO
With more than a decade of experience across the nonprofit and public sectors, Alexx has dedicated her career to driving positive social impact. She began her professional journey in 2012 with two years of service in the U.S. Peace Corps, followed by several years working closely with Utah’s vibrant refugee community. She then held a leadership role at the American Cancer Society, focusing on healthcare advocacy and innovative fundraising. Alexx has also overseen a corporate philanthropy program, gaining experience in cross-sector collaboration and aligning business goals with community impact. Most recently, she led the philanthropy and community engagement team at a children’s museum, where she strategically drove team and fundraising growth, expanded access for underrepresented communities, cultivated partnerships with a variety of organizations, and launched creative initiatives including building a Young Professionals board and organizing new unique fundraising events.
She holds a BA in International Business and an MA in Nonprofit Management and Global Community Leadership from Westminster University. Her work is guided by a belief in the power of community-led solutions and the importance of accessible, equitable systems that support well-being for all.
Outside of work, Alexx is an active volunteer in areas such as animal welfare, reproductive rights, refugee resettlement, and higher education access. She enjoys coaching boxing and indoor cycling, as well as gardening and spending time outdoors with her family. She lives in Salt Lake City with her husband, Leo, their rescue pitbull, Betty White, and their son, Frederick, who is just a few months old. It brings her great joy to envision her son growing up in a world where food is not wasted and every person has access to fresh, healthy food.
